Kishen Mangat aus Boulder Colorado ist neben seinem Beruf als Venture Capitalist ein äusserst passionierter Kletterer und Bergsteiger. Er führt uns durch seine Lebensphilosophie und Einstellung mit faszinierenden Bildern und nimmt uns mit auf seine Abenteuer in die schönsten Kletterwände der Welt: Trango Towers in Pakistan, El Capitan im Yosemite Park und weitere Gipfel in Patagonien, Alaska und den kanadischen Rockies.
In this talk, Kishen Mangat will share stories from a decade of climbing in the world’s great mountainranges and his continuing pursuit of alpine objectives well into his forties and fifties. Anchored by his 2021 expedition to Pakistan’s Trango Towers, he will trace key turning points across expeditions from Alaska to Patagonia, the Canadian Rockies to Yosemite, and his many ascents of the Longs Peak’s Diamond. With stunning images and candid reflections, Kishen will explore how experience, resilience, and perspective allow climbers to extend their prime, redefining what is possible in midlife alpinism. More than a slideshow of peaks, this is a story about longevity, motivation, and the enduring draw of the mountains.
